Chat Overlay
Chat Overlay Widget
The Chat Overlay is a powerful widget that allows you to display your live streamer's chat directly on the stream. With customizable settings such as "Font Size" and "Duration," you can tailor the chat appearance to suit your stream's style and engage with your viewers seamlessly. Additionally, future updates will bring multi-platform support, enabling you to combine multiple chatrooms together, including platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
1. Displaying Chat on Your Stream
The Chat Overlay Widget is designed to enhance viewer interaction by showing the live chat directly on your stream. Here's how to set it up:
In the Kickable dashboard, go to the "Widgets" section.
Find the "Chat Overlay" widget and press Copy URL.
Note: For this widget to work without issue, You are required to configure and then save the widget's settings.
2. Customizable Settings
Kickable's Chat Overlay Widget offers two customizable settings to personalize your chat display:
Font Size: Choose the font size that best suits your preferences and stream layout. A larger font size may be more visible but could take up more space on the screen, while a smaller font size might be more discreet.
Duration (in Milliseconds): Set the duration for which each chat message will be displayed on the screen before fading out. Adjusting this duration allows you to control the pace of the chat display, ensuring messages are visible long enough for viewers to read and respond.
3. Future Updates: Multi-Platform Support
Kickable is continuously evolving, and future updates will introduce multi-platform support for the Chat Overlay Widget. With this enhancement, you'll be able to combine chatrooms from multiple platforms, such as Kick and YouTube, into a single unified display on your stream.
Please note that the availability of multi-platform support will depend on the updates rolled out by the Kickable development team. Keep an eye on the Kickable website or official announcements for news on this exciting feature.
